Supporting child development through a professionally guided parent-child group

Thanks to another donation, we were able to expand our partnership with Kindernöte e.V. in Cologne. This time, we supported one of the parent-child groups offered by the association at various locations in the city. There, up to ten parents can gather with their children, ages one to three, and regularly share experiences. Under professional guidance, the weekly meetings provide an opportunity to address questions about child development, nutrition, health, daily life with a child, and organizational challenges – both big and small. This fosters a network of mutual support for parents, who receive valuable suggestions from the supporting professionals on learning, reading aloud, playing, and much more, helping them to provide the best possible support for their children as they grow up.

We are delighted that the parent-child groups, as part of the “Kleine Schritte” network, were able to restart in 2026 – also thanks to our donation – and are currently enjoying lively participation.
