Our selection criteria

We prefer to work directly with associations and institutions that are characterised by a lean organisation to ensure that our support is direct and as 100% effective as possible. When selecting organisations and projects, we pay particular attention to the size and level of support from other foundations and sponsors so that we can also make a recognisable contribution as a smaller foundation. It is important to us to support organisations and projects that are not commercially oriented.

Our foundation, nicmics 2205, focuses on identifying existing or planned projects that specifically support the achievement of the foundation's objectives. We are involved worldwide, whereby the balance between domestic and foreign recipients of support is an important decision-making criterion when selecting projects to support.

Examples of projects deemed worthy of support by our foundation include:

  • Procurement of materials for children and young people in need (e.g. school bags)
  • Support for rearing and care centres for animal orphans (e.g. elephants)
  • Combating poaching and the establishment of animal reservoirs and sanctuaries
  • Supporting and implementing initiatives to prevent and reduce plastic waste in the oceans
  • Promoting the realisation of research contracts or projects
  • Awarding grants that are closely linked to the achievement of the foundation's objectives
